T.V. will scrimmage Jenkins Ky. and then host Fort Chiswell in a benefit game.
They also removed Grundy and Giles fromt their schedule.
In return they picked up Greater Beckley and Montcalm.
Attempting to downsize the schedule in the same manner that Hurley did last year, it should help the moral and hopefully give them a chance to be more competitive on a nightly basis.

Honaker and Haysi has trouble getting larger schools such as Grundy, Richlands, etc... to play them because these schools don't want to play down for various reasons. They don't want to play a smaller school now because they will not gain as many power ratings pts for it and they especially don't want to play smaller schools such as Honaker and Haysi who have the potential of beating them. They will also use the excuse that their gate profits will suffer when playing smaller schools but that one doesnt really hold alot of water because successful programs bring fans whether the school is big or small.

Honaker's gate profit already suffers from playing John Battle, Rye Cove, St. Paul, and Twin Springs. We could have at least kept Rural Retreat and Grayson County on our schedules, they're pretty average teams but they are better than most of the out of district teams we already play. Richlands wanted to schedule a regular season game with Honaker, but we couldn't get things worked out. Hopefully next year Richlands will be willing to drop Lee and Honaker has been wanting to drop Rye Cove for years. We had a great rivalry with each other in football and basketball, but all that was ruined when the Russell County school board banned all competition with Richlands because of a few idiots from Honaker, Lebanon, and Richlands. Hopefully now that the "ban" has been lifted the rivalry can renew.

I wish just as we all do that Haysi and Honaker could get the bigger schools to play them, but why would a bigger school want to play either team. Lately, both schools have been doing very well and not only with the bigger school get fewer points, but they also have a chance of losing the game and getting even less points.
I wish that Haysi and Grundy would play seeing as they are pretty close, but oh well, it just didn't work out like that.
